  • What are the ages/grades for each division of camp?
    • Chaverim Juniors -  Ages 3 (by September 30, 2025) through Incoming Primer/K Graders *MUST BE TOILET-TRAINED
    • Chaverim - Incoming 1st through 6th Graders
    • Chaverim Sports - Incoming 3rd through 8th Graders
    • Chaverim Travel Camp - Incoming 5th through 8th Graders
  • What are the dates/fees for camp?
    • All Chaverim runs June 23 to August 14.
    • Camp Hours are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 AM - 2:45 PM, Fridays 
    • For those registered for Early and/or Late Camp, Early Camp Drop-off begins at 7:45 AM, and Late Camp Pickup ends at 6:00 PM Monday thru Thursday.  Friday pickup for Late Camp is 4:00 PM. 
    • The Union Y and all Camp Chaverim camps will be CLOSED on Thursday, July 23 for the observance of Tisha B'av.

  • How many trips does Chaverim Juniors take?
    • Chaverim Juniors plans to have a specialty program each week, which includes taking a trip out of camp every other week, making 4 trips overall.
  • How many trips does Chaverim take?
    • Camp Chaverim plan to have a specialty program each week, which includes taking a trip out of camp every other week, making 4 trips overall.
  • What is an example lunch menu?
    • Our lunches come from our amazing kitchen staff and are under strict Kosher supervision, including Cholov Yisrael, with our in-camp Mashgichim. Please visit HERE to access last year's menu as a sample.
  • How much does the lunch program cost?
    • Nothing!!! Our lunch program is included free for registered campers!
  • Can you tell me more about this new Travel Camp?
    • Our Travel Camp is a thrilling new addition to the Camp Chaverim family, and sure to bring a lot of excitement! Operating at the same hours as regular camp, with the exception of some later pickup times depending on the trip (late times will vary between 5:00 and 8:00 PM), Chaverim Travel Camp will include 3 trip days a week, with 2 days on camp grounds. The fun does not end there, because the days on camp grounds will include specialty programming sure to evoke the camp experience in each of our campers!
  • What are example trips that the travel camp will take?
    • Some of our highlight trips which we plan to include are:
      • Six Flags
      • Hershey Park
      • Clementon Splash World
      • Dorney Park
      • The Beast NYC
      • Minor League Baseball games
      • American Dream Mall parks
  • My child does not like sports; what other activities does Chaverim offer?
    • We are very fortunate at Camp Chaverim to offer our amazing specialties so that every child ends their day accomplished and happy with the environment we offer. Here are some of our daily activities your child may encounter:
      • Cooking
      • Arts & Crafts
      • Dance
      • Sensory Exploration
      • Drama
      • Special Programs, such as Shows, Games, Color War, and other interactive events
  • My child only loves sports and wants to play sports all day; what sports do you play?
    • Our sport activities incorporate all of the favorites, plus some in-house specialties! We offer:
      • Basketball
      • Floor Hockey
      • Football
      • Kickball
      • Dodgeball
      • Wiffleball
      • Gaga
      • Pickleball
  • How many swim sessions does each division offer?
    • Chaverim Juniors -  1 Swim a Day (includes Instructional and Free Swim); 2 Swims a Day (1 Instructional and 1 Free Swim) for Primer/K Campers
    • Chaverim - 2 Swims a Day (1 Instructional and 1 Free Swim)
    • Travel Camp - 2 Swims a Day (1 Instructional and 1 Free Swim) *IN-CAMP DAYS ONLY
